=== Electronics Jam! === Bring your laptop, sit down at a workstation, or pick up a soldering iron and help us build something interesting. The final creation(s) must: # move # interact with the world # make noise # make people smile # be awesome * Cost: ** $0, harvest the wealth of ewaste our generation is creating. A stack of electronic toys, including a few with motors, would be nice. * Space required: ** Interstices. Find a socket and pull up a chair. * Other requirements: ** Internet would be interesting, but we can provide a thumbdrive with Processing, Pd, and Arduino and docs can be printed. ** Something to play sounds, a light PA or small amp. ** Something to play visuals, perhaps a projector, large screen, or several monitors. * Preparation (at least three weeks in advance): ** Roughly outline what we'd like to accomplish in the two to three days and try running through a few projects first. Practice makes perfecter. So this could be a circuit bending hackfest or a Processing freakout. Maybe some fluxus and Pure Data live coding just for kicks. Bring a laptop, or not. Everything built, made, written, or assembled during the weekend lives at the Node. (I'm still fleshing this one out, hit me on the [http://groups.google.com/group/baltimore-node-discussion baltimore-node-discussion] list or [http://twitter.com/abachman twitter] [[User:Abachman|Abachman]] 16:06, 29 April 2010 (UTC))
